Way to go PM Dudd and Labor

kevin_rudd.jpgNinemsn - The outlook for the economy among small business is at its most pessimistic in 15 years, new figures show. The latest Sensis Business Index shows small businesses have the lowest expectations of the strength of the economy in the 15 years since the survey started collecting data. Rising fuel prices, higher interest rates and falling consumer demand have small and medium-size businesses worried about their future, report author Christena Singh said. [snip] While the federal labor government had a 57-43 per cent two-party preferred support in latest Newspoll, its polices had only 10 per cent support of the small businesses surveyed. This was the lowest support for a federal government since February 1996, when the Keating Labor government was in its last month of power.

News.com.au - AUSTRALIANS are reeling in financial doom, with 2 in 3 saying their financial situation is worse now than it was a year ago and many homeowners could be forced to sell their properties if interest rates rose another 1 per cent, according to a survey. The survey by NEWS.com.au and polling firm Coredata has found more than one in two Australians, or 67 per cent, believe their financial situation is worse now than 12 months ago. This is a significant increase from 46 per cent in a November survey. Image thanks to Yahoo Images.
